"I feel very lucky to have discovered Lockwood Interiors. At my wit's end after several unsuccessful meetings with interior designers, Patricia entered my life in the nick of time with affordable fees and sage advice.
I purchased a relatively new home in La Quinta that I fell in love with for its floor plan and location. The downside was that it came with a traditional or Italianesque persuasion and my tastes run more contemporary or Bohemian. My goal was to tastefully incorporate my style into this home without the greater expense of starting over. I also had some very sketchy ideas about how I'd like to improve the courtyard and master bathroom.
Patricia walked me through the process of blending paint colors to complement the home's mixture of granite, tumbled marble, brick, carpeting, cherry wood cabinetry and white molding with my contemporary art and furniture pieces.
To complete the task, Patricia hired a fantastic faux painter to create interesting texture or layering on specific ceilings and walls. I wasn't in La Quinta for most of the work ... but no worries ... she managed everything. I showed up now and then to approve the work. Done!
After the painting was complete, she further transformed the home with a few more pieces of furniture, new lighting and ceiling fans for every room; sliding wooden doors that double as art to create privacy between the bed chamber and the master bath and an upgraded courtyard fence with arched wrought iron gate and trellis system. Patricia did all of the shopping, designed the bedroom doors, fence and even some custom-made furniture. She recycled a pair of my armchairs (long out of favor) with new upholstery for use in the master bedroom. Perfect transformation!
The lighting is amazing ... virtually pieces of art. I can't be outside without compliments from passersby on my courtyard enclosure. She helped in so many areas I almost forgot to mention redesigning the built-in entertainment center. She added open bookshelves for warmth and enhanced the art niches with risers and up lighting to showcase my hand-blown glass collection. Again, she managed all of the ins and outs - woodworkers, electricians, upholsterers, ironworkers, and carpenters. I simply came by to enjoy the results.
Oh, and did I mention one of the most important things... she saved me LOADS
OF MONEY! I am very pleased and wouldn't change a thing. If I had attempted this myself, I would already be starting over. Guaranteed!"

One just can't walk into any store and find the totally appropriate furnishings you installed in each home. With eager determination you placed everything just so. The photos were taken and placed on the web site promoting the properties and guess what happened? We booked up right away!
